Arts and culture play a big part in most Pretoria residents’ lives – be it stage productions, musical concerts or art exhibitions. The Atterbury Theatre first opened its doors on 18 May 2011 and had sold-out shows for the first 24 performances of the musical Stuur Groete aan Mannetjies Roux. More than 400 shows were showcased in the following two years. Today the theatre is busy throughout the year and is a firm favourite among Pretorians
There is simply no better place to live than in Pretoria. The city has so much to offer, and its versatility knows no bounds.Think purple streets in October, the crowd at Loftus Versveld when the Bulls score a try, and the happy sounds of vuvuzelas from hooting taxis draped in Mamelodi Sundowns flags.
The Best of Pretoria Readers’ Choice Awards celebrates all this and more, and gives you the chance to tell us what and who is the best the capital city has to offer.
