Anja’s Tea Garden

If the smell of delicious pastries tickles your fancy, you might want to give this charming tea garden a visit. Set in a quaint yet chic location in Pretoria East, Anja’s Tea Garden is an independent venue and eatery. All their cakes are freshly baked, but do make an effort to try their chocolate cake. Here, you may choose to sit-in and enjoy a delectable slice of cake, or order a whole cake which you can say you baked. Although they only operate from Wednesday to Saturday, their freshly prepared delights and creative flair makes this spot a definite must-visit. For the fifth year in a row, Anja’s was voted the city’s best tea garden, can you believe it?

The various Woolworths Cafés in Pretoria boast stunning displays of cakes on any given day. Just looking at them is enough to get you drooling. Isabella’s Cake and Food Shop is one of Pretoria’s best kept secrets, and the ultimate ‘go-to’ spot for pastries, cakes and confectionery delights for occasions big and small. This chic and stylish eatery boasts a well-groomed interior, and offers an unrivaled array of cakes which you can enjoy as desert after a delicious meal, or as a stand alone treat. Their apple and nut and red velvet cakes are fantastic, but their famous Carrot and Macadamia nut cake is simply undefeated.
